BCSWA provides funding to, and contracts with, Adams Brown Recycling (ABR), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, for a variety of residential recycling services. BCSWA must show that 80% of the Brown County population has sufficient access to residential recycling.

Commercial and Industrial recycling and waste reduction are not addressed here, but goals and information can be found in the BCSWA plan

The buyback area is a unique part of Adams Brown Recycling. It is a drive-thru where one can sell various metals and where materials can be dropped off for donation.

To find out the current prices for accepted materials, please call 937-378-3431 during business hours, Monday-Friday 9 am to 4 pm, or Saturday 9 am to 2 pmAll prices are for clean materials.

Clean materials have no, or very little, moisture, steel, plastic, rubber, etc., as part of the material you are selling. If we must take time to remove those contaminants, we will lower the price per pound to allow for the time it takes us to remove the material, and we will also deduct the estimated weight of the contaminant from the weight of the material you are selling. If you want the best price, please remove large amounts of steel, plastic, rubber, and other materials from the material you are selling to Adams Brown Recycling.

Deductions can be a few pennies per pound for small amounts of contaminants, to larger deductions for a great deal of contaminants. Deductions are also taken for oversized items that we must cut down to be baled or marketed.

ABR Charges for the following Items:

  • Residential TVs & Computer Monitors: $0.55 per lb. No charge for any computer monitor that is paired with a computer.
